Celebrating Samantha

I took a few moments to visit with Sam, one of our Certified Nursing Assistants who has been with our organization from the beginning. Sam has been a CNA for almost 13 years! When I asked her what gave her that extra drive to provide the kind of steady, thoughtful care that she delivers, Sam said that she loved working with the elderly because they are the most interesting people -- so wise and with so much to share. “I’m in it for the stories!” Sam said. I love that! When Sam is not working, she loves spending time with her kids at the park or doing crafts, and with her dogs, Bruce and Fen. Sam said that if she was not already fulfilled being a CNA, she would most likely pursue a career as a counseling therapist. That makes total sense to me!
